Compare Your Rents & Allowances 2008/9 and 2009/10
Latest CLG figures for allowances and assumed rent levels for council housing
Each November government publishes the level of allowances it will give to each local authority and the assumptions it makes about the level of rents the authority will charge tenants. The 'Draft Subsidy Determination' increases the 'robbery' because it proposes an average rent increase of 6.2% but allowances are going up far less!
See how much your authority receives this year (2008/9) and in the draft determination government is proposing for 2009/10.
