Protest at parliament Wed 23rd demands action on homes |
A protest outside Parliament this week will demand government action to control rents, build council homes and scrap the Housing Act. The growing campaign has achieved a first step today, as Housing Minister Gavin Barwell ditched the 'Pay to Stay' tenant tax, a central part of the Act. See reports here and here .
Axe the Housing Act campaigners will gather this Wed 23rd from 12-4pm at Old Palace Yard SW1P 3JY and launch an alternative Autumn Statement for Homes.
