Stop privatisation; improve existing and build a new generation of first class council housing
Protest at 'No Housing' Bill 2nd Nov at Parliament
The Government's Housing Bill 2015 is a serious escalation of attacks on council housing and tenants' rights.
Tenants will join trade unions in a lobby and protest at Parliament from 1pm 2nd November, when MPs hold a 'second reading' of the Bill. The protest will be the next step for local campaigns linking unions, councillors, housing campaigns and tenant groups in joint delegations to lobby MPs and plan further action. See details of the Housing Bill here, DCLG explanatory notes here ,one useful summary here and another here . Angry tenants, councillors, trade unions and MPs are backing a campaign against sell offs and for investment in council housing: see sign up statement. Sign up to resist attacks on council housing, along with Jeremy Corbyn, Caroline Lucas, councillors, trade unions and tenants: see statement
And pass this statement against means testing by Councils and housing associations - see model resolution.
