Stop privatisation; improve existing and build a new generation of first class council housing
A Tenants Manifesto
A Tenants' Manifesto demands investment in Council Housing and defends tenants' rights.
The Manifesto drawn up by DCH links the demands of Council, housing association and private tenants, to step up pressure on Councils and MPs nationally, for tenants' rights. The Manifesto will be finalised at a national DCH meeting 28 June 12-5pm at GMB offices, 22 Stephenson Way, London NW1 2HD (beside Euston station) - see map here. Tenants, trade unions, politicians and campaigners opposed to privatisation and in favour of investment in council housing will also discuss campaign updates from Salford and others fighting stock transfer, and from estates opposing demolition and loss of council housing. All supporters welcome to attend. Bedroom Tax campaigners also meet this weekend: Sat 7 June 12-5pm Central Hall Oldham St Manchester M1 1JQ. Anti Bedroom Tax and Benefit Justice groups from across Britain will decide next steps in the campaign - see details here. What You Can Do
