Stop privatisation; improve existing and build a new generation of first class council housing
Tenants step up pressure - Join 26th march
Tenants will be in London next Saturday to join the giant TUC protest 26th March. Council tenants will march with housing association and private tenants groups to show growing anger at Government attacks on secure tenancies, rents and housing benefit, using this Housing Emergency poster.

Tenants will assemble with banners at Middle Temple Lane 11am Saturday 26th. Contact local trade unions and anti-cuts groups for details of transport on 26th.

The Localism Bill giving landlords power to remove secure tenancies, and forcing the homeless into insecure private renting, is not yet passed. Make sure your MP signs this Early Day Motion 1389 and commit to supporting our amendments in the Bill's 3rd Reading.

And demand your local Council do not use fixed term tenancies, oppose up to 80% market rents, and do not evict tenants in arrears due to housing benefit cuts. Call on Councillors to join us in campaigning for investment in existing and new council housing to avert the growing housing crisis.

Use new DCH posters. Orders to info@defendcouncilhousing.org.uk
